Ring Sizing Guide

Find Your Perfect Fit ✨

At Iravalea, we want your new jewelry to fit seamlessly. A perfect ring should slip over your knuckle with a tiny bit of resistance but sit comfortably at the base of your finger without squeezing.

Follow our easy home measurement methods or use our conversion chart below to discover your exact size.

Method 1: The Paper or String Test (Measure Your Finger)

Best if you don't have an existing ring for that specific finger.

  1. Wrap it: Cut a thin strip of paper (about 1 cm wide) or a piece of non-stretchy string and wrap it comfortably around the base of your intended finger.

  2. Mark it: Ensure the paper/string feels secure but not too tight. Use a pen to mark the exact point where it overlaps to form a complete circle.

  3. Measure it: Lay the strip flat against a ruler and measure the distance from the starting edge to your pen mark in millimeters (mm). This gives you your Inside Circumference.

  4. Find your size: Match your millimeter measurement to our chart below.

Method 2: The Diameter Test (Measure an Existing Ring)

Best if you are trying to keep a gift a secret or already have a perfect-fitting ring.

  1. Select the ring: Find a ring that fits the exact finger you are shopping for.

  2. Measure the inside: Place the ring on top of a ruler. Measure the straight distance across the inside edge of the circle from side to side.

  3. Get the mm: Note down the measurement in millimeters (mm). This is your Inside Diameter.

  4. Find your size: Compare this number against the diameter column in our chart below.

Expert Tips

1. Always double-check your measurements for accuracy.

2. Your finger size can fluctuate slightly during the day, over time, and depending on the temperature. If measuring your actual finger, do so in the afternoon when your hands are warm for best results. If you fall between two ring sizes, choose the larger size (or half size) to ensure a comfortable fit.

3. Ensure you measure the exact finger on which you intend to wear your ring (or a ring that you wear on the same finger). Your ring size will vary between your fingers as well as between your hands.

4. Consider the band width. Wider bands (anything over 5mm wide) naturally hug your finger tighter than dainty rings.
